The IndyCar series is a failed vision by angry individuals upset about the state of open wheel racing in America who decided they wanted to Americanize open wheel racing. It is best known for bringing up race car driver such as Tony Stewart and Danica Patrick. In 2007 it merged with the competitor series Champ Car and once again turned into a recycling center for washed up Formula One wannabes bringing in drivers such as Juan Pablo Montoya, Rubens Barricello, Justin Wilson and Tukomo Sato. It is also known for creating drivers who never had a chance to make it the Formula One such as Dario Franchitti Tony Kannan, Scott Dixon, Michael and Marco Andretti, Helio Castronevs, and many more. Famous team owners include Roger Penske, Sam Schmidt, AJ Foyt, and the Andretti family.
The biggest race in the series is the Indianapolis 500. It is known worldwide as the most anti-climactic race on the planet.

Early History[]
IndyCar was founded in 1996 when Tony George owner of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway wanted to Americanize open wheel racing. The goal was to race exclusively on ovals in what appeared to be an attempt to kill as many drivers as possible and glorify oval racing in order to hype up the dying animal known as the Indianapolis 500.
The competitor series CART decided to try to compete with the race staging a even more idiotic race at Michigan International Speedway on the same day. The Idea made many of the more talented drivers decide to race in CART for points and skip the Indy 500.
This move led to unqualified idiots attempting to run the Indy 500. This gave rise to wonder talented and well remembered drivers such as Joe Gosek, Tyce Carlson and of course JJ Yeley
